Piloting of the Electronic Government Procurement Portal
The Government of Saint Lucia is on the verge of launching an e-procurement portal to modernize how public procurement is conducted. The reforms to the procurement regime included legislative reform which saw the introduction of the Public Procurement Act (Act 19 of 2015, amended 13 of 2020). These reforms are geared toward introducing a more strategic approach to public procurement and standardization of how government conducts public procurement.
To facilitate the introduction of this modern framework, the Department of Finance is currently piloting the use of the electronic government procurement web portal. This facility will allow for the agencies participating in the pilot exercise to place notifications to suppliers of their procurement opportunities via this portal.
Interested suppliers can browse the portal to view the available opportunities.
Suppliers would need to register on the portal to receive e-mailed notifications in their areas of interest.
Registered suppliers will be able to download tender documents and upload their tenders.
