The Government of Saint Lucia is in the process of establishing the National Competitiveness and Productivity Council (NCPC) with an accompanying Technical Unit. In this regard, the Government has received a grant of US$496,200 from the Compete Caribbean Program, a private sector development programme jointly funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the United Kingdom Department of International Development (DFIB) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in partnership with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) for projects executed in the OECS. The Technical Unit will provide all the necessary support to the NCPC in order for the Council to perform its mandate in assessing competitiveness and productivity issues throughout Saint Lucia. The candidate will report to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, Planning and Social Security or as duly delegated and work closely with the Chairperson of the NCPC.
