Tasks and responsibilities

The NSDI Systems Administrator II will coordinate and provide technical expertise required for the Information Technology (IT) component of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and will support the implementation of the Saint Lucia NSDI Policy and Strategy towards the establishment of a robust national Spatial Data Infrastructure. The NSDI Systems Administrator II will undertake the following responsibilities:
1. Support the NSDI through the installation, maintenance, and management of hardware, software, and systems that underpin spatial data management and dissemination.
2. Responsible for configuring and maintaining physical and virtual servers, databases, applications, hardware, and software used by the NSDI unit.
3. Liaise with managers of spatial data and other data platforms to promote adherence to common data standards and protocols and ensure interoperability between datasets and platforms.
4. Ensure the reliable operation of the technical infrastructure supporting the NSDI activities.
5. Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies.
