The Department of Finance, as part of its ongoing procurement reform agenda, is preparing for the commencement of the Public Procurement Act, slated for June 1, 2021.

As part of our stakeholder consultations, we wish to invite private sector interest groups, vendors and persons interested in government procurement to an introductory virtual consultation scheduled for May 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. At that consultation, the legislative framework as well as the regulations will be introduced and discussed.

In addition, the session will explore the intent of the law, its implications on Government operations, requirements for compliance and the type of assistance to be provided by the Department of Finance during the implementation phase.

To enhance the discussions, copies of the Public Procurement Act and the draft regulations are attached to facilitate review prior to the session. Copies are also available on the Department of Finances Website at Finance.gov.lc.
