Launch of the Generation of Employment through Private Sector Development Programme (GEPSED)

 

The Department of Economic Development along with the St. Lucia Council for Technical and Vocational Education Training (SLCTVET) is hosting a week of activities from 17th to 20th May 2022, under the theme “TVET as an Economic Driver, Providing Opportunities for all 2022 and beyond” The progamme is financed by the European Union under the 11th European Development Fund.


The following activities are foreseen during the week:

17th May 2022  Closed Door Executive Dialogue and Policy Dialogue at the Financial Administrative Centre.
18th April 2022 Official Launch Ceremony of the Generation of Employment through Private Sector Development Programme GEPSED) at the Habour Club.
  Opening Ceremony for a Career Fair to be held at the Castries City Hall at the Constitution Park on 18th & 19th  May 2022.
19th May 2022   Opening Ceremony for Industry Linkage Forum - Financial Administrative Centre at the Financial  Administrative Centre 19th & 20th May 2022.

 

Young persons within the ages of 15 to 35 are particularly invited to attend the Career Fair on 18th and 19th May 2022 from 10:00 AM, since the programme is focused on unemployed workers, young people, women and identified marginalised groups to provide its youth and workforce with the adequate education and skills necessary to build their resilience and face the economic and social consequences of this crisis.

It will be a learning experience, come one come all.
